Suppression is strategy
Who you refuse to email is as important as who you hunt. Quiet lists are how reputation survives.
Suppression is usually treated as compliance hygiene. It is also commercial strategy. Re-hitting a hard no, a competitor’s customer in a locked contract, or a domain that already bounced is how fleets get noisy and then get blocked.
What we suppress by default
- Hard nos with reason codes and reopen seasons.
- Current customers and active opportunities (CRM-synced).
- Domains over bounce or complaint thresholds.
- Contacts in a cooling-off window after a no-show recovery failure.
Memory that only stores targets is incomplete. Memory must store doors that stay shut.
